The Welcome Reception
Monday 26 April 2010, 19:30 – 21:30
Saluting Battery, Valletta
Malta International Airport is delighted to invite you to two exclusive networking events. The Welcome Reception will take place on Monday 26 April 2010 at the stunning Saluting Battery in Valletta.
The old Saluting Battery occupies one of the most strategic locations in Valletta, from where complete command of the Grand Harbour can be achieved. It stands on the lower part of the St. Peter & St. Paul’s Bastions, at the foot of the Upper Barrakka gardens and overlooking the majestic Fort St. Angelo and the Grand Harbour below. Guests will be treated to cocktails and canapés whilst enjoying the views and a relaxed evening of networking and socialising.
The Gala Dinner
Tuesday 27 April 2010, 19:30 – 23:00
Villa Bighi, Malta
The Gala Dinner will be held on Tuesday 27 April 2010 in Villa Bighi, which stands majestically overlooking the Grand Harbour. The Bighi Royal Naval Hospital, as it used to be known, is one of Malta's finest examples of neo-classical architecture from the early 19th century.
During the dinner, delegates will be entertained by a 2-piece brass band before Ira Losco – one of Malta’s favourite singers will take centre stage for the rest of evening’s entertainment.

Guided Tour of Gozo
Gozo is a third the size of Malta, but greener and more rural. Its landscape has hills and deep valleys as well as rugged cliffs, which give natural protection to the island's small harbours and inlets. Life here moves at a leisurely pace, revolving around farming and fishing.
The tour will include a ferry trip to Gozo; a visit to the Ggantija Temples, to Victoria and the Citadel, Dwejra and the Azure Window and Marsalforn. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore Malta’s scenic neighbour before the Gala dinner.
Pre and post conference excursions
Malta International Airport has recommended a number of activities for delegates that are planning on staying in Malta after the conference has finished, including guided tours of the city, boat trips and visits to pre-historic temples. Delegates will be required to book and pay for these on an individual basis. For further information click here.
